1.3 million euros is the cost for the development, among other objectives, of the future Catalonian Housing Agency +

On Thursday on Facebook I found Àngela Solà from DMAH, we are both friends of Jordi Graells. It’s fantastic to find that I’m not alone!

Below is a link to the news area of the Parlament of Catalonia which speaks about the process of the Catalan Housing Agency.

The European Commission has declared 2009 The European Year of Creativity & Innovation.
Initiatives such as these remind us that we must take risks and work towards being more creative and innovative and encourages us to participate in this change.
I fit in perfectly with the aims of this project, I just want the opportunity to explain to someone that: if we share knowledge, apply new tools and get citizens to participate then we will have a more creative, innovative, useful & social “Agency”.

I’ve started the year preparing a new project, along with Chris Pinchen and Enric Senabre, which I’m very excited about. It’s called InnovaCamp Mediterrane@ and will take place in Citilab (Cornella de Llobregat) from May 22-24 this year. Watch out for updates!

I went to the III Jornada de Programa Compartim de Gestió del Coneixement today. The event was opened by Minister for Justice of the Autonomous Catalan Government, who spoke for fifteen minutes. Her gave an optomistic presentation and recognised the hard work done by the members of the programme in the last few years. The guest speaker Miguel Cornejo Castro explained the topic “Strategies to stimulate employee participation in organisations who wish to manage knowledge” very clearly after which we took part in workshops that were too short, but created interesting debates.
I spent some time speaking with Francesca Cañas who has a lot of experience and gave me a lot of advice which was gratefully recieved, as well as encouraging me to follow my objective – innovate within my workplace.
I’m thinking of creating a CoP for housing. Anyone interested?

Last Tuesday I went to the fourth and last Innovation Morning at l’Escola (EAPC) of this year. The session was called “Innovation: A Strategical Vision For The Administration” and the speaker, Xavier Marcet of the LTCproject gave an interesting, dynamic albeit very theoretical talk.
Hardly anyone asked questions at the end but I asked Mr. Marcet if he could give me some advice on how to successfully present the idea “let’s make an innovative Agency”, to which he replied by going off on a tangent and didn’t give me a direct answer; I suppose as a consultant he charges for this kind of information,
However I left satisfied, because I need the theory – I took plenty of notes which I can maybe take advantage of when I have to speak on the subject.
